The Consulting Intern role at Oracle Financial Services Software (OFSS) offers graduates a 12-month opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technical consulting within the banking and financial services sector. Based in Johannesburg, this internship provides exposure to FLEXCUBE and related banking modules, where interns will assist with technical analysis, solution preparation, and product behaviour validation. The program is designed for technically strong graduates eager to learn how enterprise banking systems are configured, tested, and implemented for clients. Interns will work closely with consultants, participate in training, and contribute to proposals, demos, and solution documentation, building a strong foundation for future careers in technical consulting and solution engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with analysing and validating FLEXCUBE module behaviour including CASA, Payments, Loans, and Customer
• Support consultants by simulating test scenarios, reviewing logs, and documenting issues or expected behaviour
• Help with basic configuration tasks, environment checks, and version comparison under guidance
• Contribute to technical inputs for proposals, demos, and solution documents
• Assist in reviewing interface mappings and understanding integrations such as ATM/POS, clearing systems, and payment gateways
• Capture notes and support documentation during customer workshops, requirement sessions, and UAT activities
• Participate in OFSS/FLEXCUBE training to build product and banking process knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, BCom Informatics, Engineering, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Comfortable working with structured technical processes, system behaviour, and troubleshooting
• Interest in core banking systems, enterprise software, and financial services technology
• Basic exposure to SQL, PL/SQL, APIs, or integration concepts is advantageous
• University projects involving systems analysis, workflows, or testing are beneficial
